Slip-resistant Additive Surface Grip is a finely ground, slip-resistant polymer additive that enhances the slip resistance of film-forming sealers. It is designed for use with SpecChem products as well as most other manufacturers’ water-based and solvent-based film-forming sealers. This additive is ideal for application on surfaces prone to moisture accumulation such as pool decks, garage floors, driveways, patios, and walkways, ensuring improved safety and traction.

Application

Compatibility

Surface Grip is compatible with various SpecChem sealers such as Cure & Seal, SurfaceShine, DecoShine Plus, AquaShine, and CrystalShine. A small test area is recommended to verify compatibility with non-SpecChem film-forming sealers.

Mixing Instructions

  • Slowly stir Surface Grip into the sealer to ensure it is completely wet out and evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  • Mix thoroughly before and during the application to maintain consistency.

Application Methods

  • Spray application is recommended for best results, though smaller areas can be effectively treated with a brush.
  • Do not re-roll wet areas to avoid uneven texture.
  • Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for substrate preparation and sealer application.

Packaging

Available in 3 oz bottles (24 per case) and 15 oz bottles (12 per case).

Shelf Life

When stored in the original tightly sealed containers, Surface Grip has a shelf life of two years from the date of manufacture.

Coverage

  • Add 3 oz to a 1-gallon container of sealer.
  • Add 15 oz to a 5-gallon container of sealer.
  • Do not exceed 6 oz per gallon of sealer to ensure optimal performance.
