Why Contractors Choose It
Contractors choose Strong Bond to improve release, reduce cleanup, protect formwork, and keep concrete placement moving.

Application
- Surface Preparation:Ensure substrates are mechanically abraded to remove unsound concrete, ensuring a dust-free surface with adequate profile for mechanical lock. The substrate should be saturated-surface-dry (SSD) without standing water.
- Mixing and Application:Vary mix designs to meet specific job requirements, adjusting sand, cement, and Strong Bond ratios to achieve the desired physical properties. For bond coats, a slurry consistency is recommended, ensuring thorough coverage and attention to detail.
- Admixture Dilution:Dilute Strong Bond up to 3:1 with water for general applications, with more concentrated mixtures offering increased durability.
Packaging
Available in 55-gallon drums, 5-gallon pails, and 1-gallon jugs, providing flexibility for project scales and requirements.
Shelf Life
Strong Bond has a shelf life of 1 year from the date of manufacture when stored properly and must not be allowed to freeze.
Test Data
- Set Times:Initial bond is achieved within 50 minutes, with final set occurring within 80 minutes at 70°F.
- Compressive Strength:Develops high strength over time, reaching up to 5500 psi at 28 days.
- Bond Strength & Durability:Demonstrates high bond strength and excellent freeze-thaw resistance, ensuring long-term performance in demanding conditions.
