Application

Coverage

SpecStrip Plusis ready to use without the need for dilution. Ensure form surfaces are free from dirt, rust, scale, and previous concrete buildup. It is recommended to apply SpecStrip Plus via spray, with the following coverage rates:

  • Steel, Plastic, Fiberglass:2000 sq ft/gal
  • Conditioned Aluminum:2000 sq ft/gal
  • HDO Plywood:2000 sq ft/gal
  • MDO Plywood:1500 sq ft/gal
  • Dimensional Lumber:1000 sq ft/gal
  • BB Grade Plywood:1000 sq ft/gal

Application rates may vary depending on the porosity of the form surface.

Application Method

  • Use an atomizing or misting spray tip for thin, uniform films to maximize efficiency and product performance.
  • Avoid over-application to prevent dusting.
  • Remove any excess material with a squeegee and absorbent rags.

Finish

When applied correctly, SpecStrip Plus leaves a smooth, architectural concrete surface, ready for any subsequent coatings. Follow the coating manufacturer’s surface preparation recommendations.

Shelf Life

SpecStrip Plus has a shelf life of two years from the date of manufacture in its original, tightly closed containers. Keep containers free from water, dirt, or other contaminants.
