Silane-Siloxane Exempt Solvent Penetrating Water Repellent SpecShield EX is a 100% reactive, exempt solvent silane-siloxane sealer. This clear, penetrating, breathable water repellent is designed for use on both horizontal and vertical, interior and exterior, above-grade concrete or masonry surfaces. It penetrates the surface and bonds directly with the substrate, providing a surface highly resistant to moisture and salt attack.

Application

Preparation:

  • Ensure the surface is dry, well cured (minimum 14 days), and free from moisture, curing residue, dust, debris, oil, and other contaminants.
  • Surfaces must be absorptive to allow penetration of SpecShield EX.

Application Method:

  • Apply using a low pressure, non-atomizing sprayer (10 to 20 psi), broom, or squeegee.
  • Remove any puddles or standing material immediately.
  • Adjust application rate on very porous surfaces and follow a wet-on-wet method.
  • Do not allow excess to dry on the surface.

Packaging

Available in 55 gallon drums and 5 gallon pails.

Shelf Life

Store in a clean, dry area between 45-85°F. Shelf life is two years in unopened containers.
