Application

Surface Preparation

  • Ensure cleanliness:Remove all contaminants, including oils, curing compounds, and loose materials.
  • Surface profiling:Concrete substrates should be profiled to a minimum CSP #4, with shot blasting preferred.

Mixing and Application

  • Mixing:Use 7.0-7.5 pints of water per 50-pound bag for standard consistency.Adjust water for desired flow characteristics.
  • Application:Pour or pump the mixture over the prepared substrate.Spread using a long-handled spreader or gauge rake.The material self-levels; no troweling is necessary.

Placement Procedure

  • Pumping:Can be pumped using an appropriate grout pump; ensure material levels itself during the first 20 minutes at 70°F.

Finishing/Curing

  • Foot traffic:Accepts foot traffic within 2-4 hours, depending on conditions.
  • Polishing:Can be diamond polished within 24 hours of application.
