It can be applied up to 4 inches thick on vertical surfaces and is ideal for a wide range of concrete repairs. Common uses include bridge columns, parking structures, spandrels, beams, concrete ceilings, tunnels, pipes, pilings, and other similar applications.

Application
Substrate Preparation
- Surfaces must be solid, clean, and free from loose or damaged concrete, dust, dirt, and other substances that could impair adhesion.
- Create a roughened surface texture to enhance bonding.
- Area should be saturated surface dry (SSD) with no standing water.
- Apply a no slump bond coat of Por-Rok Concrete Patch or a bonding agent like Strong Bond before patching. Ensure bond coat remains wet before application.
Steel Exposure and Rebar
- Fully expose and clean all reinforcing steel, maintaining a minimum clearance of 3/4 inch.
- Follow ICRI Technical Guidelines No. 03730 for preparation.
- Patch edges should be saw cut to a depth of 1/4 inch for optimal results.
Mixing Instructions
- Standard Mixing:Use 3.75 to 4.25 quarts of clean potable water per 50 lb. bag (approx. 1 part water to 5 parts powder). Mix with a low-speed mortar mixer or 1/2 inch drill with a paddle for at least 90 seconds. Do not re-temper.
- Enhanced Mix:Use 1 gallon of Strong Bond per 50 lb. bag in place of water, mixing thoroughly as above. Do not re-temper.
Application Method
- Apply freshly mixed mortar promptly and press firmly into the prepared area for full surface contact.
- Overfill slightly and sculpt with a steel trowel after initial set.
- Lightly mist with water to aid final shaping if needed.
- For deep repairs, apply in layers. Score each prior layer after set to promote bond with subsequent layers.

- Protect application from freezing for a minimum of 24 hours.
- Do not use accelerators, admixtures, or other foreign chemicals.
