PaveCure CW is a high-solids, water-based, wax concrete curing compound that forms a continuous membrane to ensure strong and durable concrete. It meets the maximum VOC content limits of 350 g/L as required by the U.S. EPA Architectural Coatings Rule. PaveCure CW is designed for exterior, horizontal surfaces such as highways, airports, and street paving, available in both clear (Type I) and clear with dye (Type I-D).
Moisture Retention: Helps reduce plastic shrinkage cracks by effectively retaining moisture during the curing process.
Enhanced Durability: Increases the concrete’s lifespan through proper curing, which enhances compressive strength and wear resistance.
High Reflectivity: The white pigment reflects sunlight, helping keep the concrete surface cooler.
Ease of Application: Ready to use and easy to spray, providing an economical solution for large scale horizontal concrete surfaces.
Environmental Compliance: VOC compliant under EPA limits, making it suitable for environmentally sensitive projects.
Surface Preparation:Ensure the surface is clean and free of water just after the surface sheen has disappeared. The concrete should not be marred by the walking applicator.
Application Method:Apply using a manual sprayer, power sprayer, or paving train, ensuring even coverage without puddling, at a rate of 200 sq ft per gallon.
Curing Conditions:Best applied at temperatures above 40°F and under well-ventilated conditions to avoid potential safety hazards near fire or flames.
Packaging
Available in 275-gallon totes, 55-gallon drums, and 5-gallon pails.
Shelf Life
Store in original tightly closed containers to prevent contamination and avoid exposure to extreme heat or freezing conditions. Shelf life is one year from the date of manufacture.
Test Data
Dry Film Appearance:Clear to translucent, which does not alter the appearance of the concrete surface.
Moisture Loss:Applied at 200 sq ft/gallon results in a moisture loss of 0.455 kg/m².
Standards
Compliance:Meets ASTM C309, Type I, Class A (Type I-D includes red fugitive dye)
AASHTO Standard:Complies with AASHTO M-148, Type I, Class A
Moisture Loss:Conforms to ASTM C156, maintaining moisture loss well below the maximum allowed for effective curing
Cleaning
Clean tools and equipment with water immediately after use. For removing cured or residual material, use SpecChem Solvent 100 or a suitable cleaning solvent.
