Low VOC Solvent-Based Pigmented Protective Sealer

Deco Shine Brown EX is a VOC-compliant, brown pigmented methacrylate sealer, specifically designed to protect exterior concrete surfaces such as exposed aggregate. The light brown tint enhances the cement paste of Merrimack Brown exposed aggregate surfaces, adding a subtle enhancement to the natural color. This fast-drying sealer is formulated to perform well under VOC regulations in OTC/LADCO/MRPO regions.

Application

Surface Preparation:The surface must be clean, dry or slightly damp, and free from stains, oil, grease, dirt, and incompatible coatings to ensure proper adhesion and performance.

For Fresh Concrete

Apply as soon as the surface water has evaporated and walking on the concrete won’t mar the surface. Apply uniformly at300400 sq ft per gallon. For enhanced curing and sealing protection, a second coat may be applied at400 sq ft per gallononce the first coat has dried.

For Existing Concrete

Apply to clean, dry surfaces to renovate existing concrete, brick, or terrazzo floors, making them brighter and easier to maintain. This can be applied at a rate of400600 sq ft per gallon, adjusting for porosity and texture of the surface.

Additional Application Notes

  • Do not apply on hot surfaces or in direct sunlight.
  • Maintain high pressure in pump-up sprayers for a steady, even spray pattern.
  • Keep the sprayer tip within 12 inches of the surface.
  • Apply in thin, uniform coats. Avoid one heavy coat to prevent puddling.
  • Two thin coats are recommended, with the second applied only after the first has thoroughly dried.

Packaging

Available in 5-gallon pails.

Shelf Life

Two years from the date of manufacture when stored in the original tightly closed containers. Avoid accumulation of water, dirt, or other contaminants.
