It also has lower weight than a comparable gas-powered model. It has a 17” cutting swath and a rapid load bump and feed trimmer head for efficient trimming. The String Trimmer has a variable speed trigger and 3-speed options (Low: 4,000 RPM, Medium: 4,600 High: 6,000 RPM) for power and run time management. In addition, users can set the Automatic Torque Drive Technology mode, which automatically shifts from 4,000-6,000 RPM for extended run time or added power. It also features a reverse function that quickly clears the trimmer head of entangled grass and weeds. The rapid load bump and feed trimmer head loads line in seconds with 3 easy steps: align, feed, and twist. The steel drive shaft is engineered for reduced vibration. For added durability, it features IPX4 weather-resistant construction, and Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™) engineered for improved dust and water resistance. XGT® is a system of equipment, tools, batteries, and chargers utilizing 40v max lithium-ion batteries. XGT® is engineered to deliver high power to take on high-demand applications, allowing users to completely transition to a cordless job site. XGT is equipped with advanced brushless motor engineering, intelligent digital communication, and superior durability features to outpower, outsmart and outlast the rest.

Features

OUTPOWER: Makita-built brushless motor delivers power of a 30cc gas string trimmer

OUTSMART: High torque gear ratio powers through overgrown grass with 20% more torque*

OUTLAST: Steel drive shaft for less vibration and longer equipment life

No gas, emissions, oil mixing or pull starts

High performance with low noise levels

Reduced maintenance lowers operating costs and minimizes down time

17" cutting swath for increased productivity

Variable speed trigger switch for controlled cutting speed

3-speed options (Low: 4,000 RPM, Medium: 4,600 High: 6,000 RPM) for power and run time management

Automatic Torque Drive Technology mode automatically shifts from 4,000-6,000 RPM for extended run time or added power

Reverse rotation function allows operator to quickly clear trimmer head of entangled grass and weeds

Adjustable loop handle for operator comfort

Specifications

Power Equivalency (cc Gas) : 30

Cutting Swath : 17"

String Trimmer / Brush Cutter Type : High Torque, Loop Handle

No Load Speed (var. 3 spd.) : 0 - 4,000 / 0 - 4,600 / 0 - 6,000 RPM

Arbor Shaft : M10 x 1.25 LH

Overall Length : 72-1/2"

Dimensions (LxWxH) : 72-1/2" x 8-7/8" x 11-3/4"

Net Weight (without battery) : 9.7 lbs.

Net Weight (with battery) : 11.9 lbs.

Battery : 40V max XGT® Lithium-Ion

Power Type : Cordless

Motor Type : Brushless

Shipping Weight : 21.52 lbs.

UPC Code : 088381-750295

Packaged Depth (in) : 7.09"

Packaged Width (in) : 75.32"

Packaged Height (in) : 9.21"

View manufacturer product information
